Job Description:


We are seeking a Security Engineer with a high sense of urgency and takes ownership, demonstrates accountability and has a reputation of following through to deliver results. This position requires strong technical skills along with the ability to create security solutions that maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of NeoSpire's information assets.

 

Reporting to the Director of Security, the Security Engineer will identify, mitigate, and control threats to NeoSpire and customers to ensure security while maintaining compliance requirements. This is a great opportunity to move into a Senior Security role. This is a full time position located in Dallas, Texas - TX.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, contain, mitigate, and perform Root Cause Analysis in response to major security incidents (e.g. realized threats and breaches) to avoid or minimize damages to NeoSpire and customers
  • Perform risk analysis of security infrastructure, customer solutions, and as part of NeoSpire's change management procedures
  • Develop appropriate technical and procedural security controls to minimize incidents or realized risks associated with the preceding responsibilities
  • Handle and communicate with customers directly regarding escalated security tickets to ensure that customers are always aware of the status of requests and value of NeoSpire's services
  • Develop and execute corporate and customer security awareness training to ensure that all parties with a direct impact on security have the resources and information to perform their functions securely
  • Participate in on-call rotation and as escalation backup for primary agents
  • Provide technical security recommendations to customers based on their security and business needs
  • Self starter who takes ownership and responsibility for department projects and initiatives

 

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience with Linux forensics and incident handling
  • 3-5 years experience with Windows forensics and incident handling
  • 3-5 years experience with web application vulnerability identification and mitigation, including XSS, RCE, and SQLi with PHP and ASP.NET code
  • Knowledge and experience recommending security solutions (can be internal or external customers)
  • Understanding of security controls
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non technical audiences

 

Preferred skills:

  • 5 years experience with iptables and Cisco PIX/ASA ACLs
  • Understanding of the PCI DSS v1.2 security controls and prior handling of at least one QSA-led PCI assessment
  • CISSP or GIAC certifications
